Although Tsunami disaster happened about nearly five years ago, still thousands of people are sufffering because of its consequences and they are not able to start a new life. ASSIT has therefore undertaken a number of programmes to help Tsunami affected people and to enable them to restart theirlife. A number of these projects are still on going projects.

Here there is a list of Income Generation Activities started by women through these programmes:
  • 189 fibre boats renovated

  • 378 catamarans renovated

  • 88 new fibre boats provided

  • 209 new catamarans provided

  • 5,411 families received new nets

  • 14 fish tubs constructed for processing dry fish

  • 4.22 acres of community fish tank renovated in Ramapuram Village of Chirala area
