ASSIST has developed a great number of programmes especially for
women, because of their weaker socio-cultural and economic
position within society. Through micro-credit, in fact, women
were able to get loans and to set up their own activities. This
has improved not only their economic, but also their
socio-cultural position within the respective communities. |
