Drinking water problem is a great problem for poor people. Among rural villages, in fact, still a huge number of people do not have access to drinking water and because of this they get a number of diseases related to this. ASSIST has therefore undertaken a number of activities to face this problem and here there are some important achievements which have been reached:

  • 1098 new drinking bore wells provided

  • 491 drinking bore wells renovated

  • 194 drinking open wells renovated

  • 19 community-owned and managed Reverse Osmosis Plants established

  • 125 check dams constructed

  • 399 form ponds constructed

  • 31 contour bonds constructed

  • 7 roof water harvesting structures built as pilot model

  • 32 protected safe drinking water schemes implementing covering 56,000 people
