MY EXPERIENCE AT ASSIST

My name is Anna Fiscale, I am 20 years old and I study Business and Economics at the University of Verona, in Italy.

I came to know ASSIST from one friend I used to share my flat in London with, during my Exchange Program last year. Since she described me her great experience at ASSIST, I immediately applied for an internship for the months of August and September, as I managed to finish my exams on time. And here I am! I must tell that I am having a very good time as well as learning a lot.

I have been working in the Projects’ Office with numerous field visits that enabled me to really appreciate the work of ASSIST and the fact that ASSIST is really making the difference for such a number of people who are improving their life conditions day by day. I have visited almost all the areas ASSIST is providing its support in, and I can confirm that ASSIST is really practising what it preaches, acting from the needs of its people as well as aiming at the development of the rural India through a large scale of successful projects that are significantly empowering and increasing the dignity of a large number of people.

I have observed the efficiency and competence of the whole staff involved in it, starting from the Directors.

I have found a really kind and hospitable environment in which everyone proved to be very friendly and welcoming, taking a lot of care of me.

I want to thank everyone of the ASSIST Staff to have given me the opportunity to spend two months in this NGO, learning much and meeting such kind of people.

I am very PROUD of having been a member of ASSIST, and once in Italy I will continue collaborating, by promoting and sponsoring the efforts of ASSIST.
